Description: This is a fast course with something for everyone. It also serves as a Boston Marathon qualifier and is USATF-certified.
Views and features: This is a gorgeous course, largely on asphalt trails, and nearly all along the Columbia River. Views of the Wenatchee Foothills abound and in the distance stand the high peaks of the Cascade Mountains. Since much of the course is along the Apple Capital Recreation Loop Trail, there are dozens of great places to watch runners.
Start time: 6:30 a.m. early bird start for marathon walkers; 8 a.m. for half marathon; 8:15 a.m. for marathon and 10K.
Start lines: North Wenatchee Avenue and First Street at the Stanley Civic Center Plaza
Finish: North Wenatchee Avenue and First Street at the Stanley Civic Center Plaza
Parking: There is a large lot behind the the Stanley Civic Center along Columbia Street. There also is ample on-street parking in the area.
Essentials: Aid stations will be equipped with energy drink and water. Aid stations will be located approximately every two miles. In addition, there will be one energy gel location for half marathon participants (approx. mile 6.5) and two locations for marathon participants (approx. miles 10 and 20). Aid stations will also be equipped with Vaseline and Band-Aids.
