WENATCHEE — AdventureWenatchee will begin offering guided recreation tours in the Wenatchee Valley the week of June 29. The tours will include mountain biking and hiking the Wenatchee Foothills and cycling the Apple Capital Loop Trail.
Guided mountain bike tours will showcase the Wenatchee Foothills, with specific focus on the Horse Lake Reserve. These three-hour tours will be led by a professional, trained guide and will lead guests through the trail system, with scheduled stops at specific vantage points.
Guests on the hiking tours will be led on a five-mile hike through the Horse Lake Reserve trail system by a professional guide. The route is designed to provide sweeping views, a variety of ecological environments, and accommodate various abilities.
The guided bicycle tours around the Apple Capital Loop Trail will provide a choice of 10 and 20 mile routes with scheduled stops at Pybus Public Market. Tour guests will learn the history and impact of the Apple Capital Loop Trail while enjoying a leisurely ride.
All tours will include snacks made with locally-sourced ingredients, photo opportunities and transportation to and from the trailheads. Cycling tours will include bicycle and helmet rental. Guests also will receive coupons for discounts at Saddle Rock Pub & Brewery in downtown Wenatchee and Jones of Washington Tasting Room at Pybus Public Market.
Reservations can be made online at http://adventurewenatchee.com/tours/.
AdventureWenatchee guided tours will be led by a team of eight guides who have completed three naturalist courses, which focused on plant life, geology, wildlife and fire history. The information learned during these trainings will be shared with tour guests.
